This presentation has PowerPoint slides, 3 hours of video, and the latest reference materials from the EPA and other organizations. A spread sheet "estimating" program is included to assist in creating an accurate quote, even your first time out. This home study class is designed to teach a duct cleaner, carpet cleaner, flood restoration or HVAC tech all the elements of air quality testing, mold investigation, and techniques used. It will NOT make you a certified mold specialist, but you will be able to tell a REAL certified specialist from an unqualified one, and you will be able to communicate with them as an equal. You will also be able to decide if this is a field you want to pursue, and if so, organizations offering certified mold training are listed for advanced study in this subject. Day one explains equipment operation and duct cleaning procedures. Day two, the students apply their knowledge to actually clean all parts of a fully operational air system and clothes dryer. Students select tools and procedures for the steel, flex, duct board and other duct materials in the training system. Day three teaches you how to get customers and which advertising media are appropriate. Quoting prices for commercial and residential properties is also taught on day three.
